To my dear Olivia,
It's been a little over a year since I last wrote to you. A little of it has to do with trying to keep up with you and you almost limitless energy. But the larger part has been just trying to keep up with everything else. When you get older, life may seem a little more complicated. One thing may seem connected to the other and if you pull on it, it may seem to unravel something else that you didn't intend. It's normal to feel frustrated, but take your time....take it slow and think about what you need to do next.
The biggest mistake you can make is taking the "easy way" and just reacting. Sometimes the right thing to do with take a little more time but in the end it'll be much more solid a solution.
You may notice your dad making the same mistakes. If you've read this and you see him struggling. Help him out by telling him to take his time and that you love him. (I'll never get tired of hearing that).
